Working for several school districts over the last 30 years, I got a front row seat to difficult reality. Its no secret that the school districts and even charter schools are way overcrowded.
Like most teachers, I would do my absolute best with each child, but working with 50-60 kids meant one-on-one with any child was SO RARE.
Smaller groups on the good days and larger groups on the other days... I struggled knowing that so many children felt shy, or embarrassed to speak with their peers in the room. This is one of the most important reasons I opened my practice...
